Italy’s U20 women’s national team has won silver at the World Championships.
In the final Massimo Bellano's girls were beaten 3-2 in the tie-break by Japan, at the end of a match that was both stunning and hard-fought throughout. This is the fourth medal in the Italian team's history in the World Championships, having won gold in 2011, silver in 1997 and bronze in 2015. Italy's Terry Enweonwu was awarded the prize as the best opposite hitter of the World Championships.
We send them our most heartfelt congratulations!
