The historic Reyer Venezia team lands in the Final Four of the Champions League!

There will be an Italian team in the Final Four of the first edition of the FIBA Basketball Champions League: on 28 and 30 April, Erreà’s Reyer Venezia will be contending the title along with the other three teams qualified (Banvit, Tenerife and Monaco), with the location to be chosen from their four home courts (the semifinal draw will take place on 7 April). Reyer Venezia qualified for the Final Four thanks to their victory against Pinar Karsiyaka, the 2015 Turkish champions. After losing 74-71 in the away leg in Turkey, coach De Raffaele’s Umana team turned the defeat around on their home court of Taliercio, where they won 74-66, with 16 points and 11 rebounds by the Canadian Ejim and 11 points each by Peric and Haynes. This extraordinary effort by the team from Venice took them into the history book, as the home crowd erupted with joy.
