A delegation from the Tennistavolo Castel Goffredo society, including its star athletes Bernadette Szocs and Andreea Dragoman, coach Alfonso Laghezza, and President Franco Sciannimanico, was a guest at Erreà for a photo session dedicated to promoting the new table tennis apparel collection.
The history of the Mantuan society began in 1977 when a priest named Don Giuseppe decided to create a ping pong team as part of the oratory. The goal was to involve the youth and have fun together.
Over the years, the society grew and started achieving significant results. In 1997, the women's team won their first Italian championship. Since then, the society has continued to dominate the national and international scene, winning numerous individual and team titles.
In 2006, the women's team won the first of two Champions League titles, the only Italian case to do so.
To this day, the Tennistavolo Castel Goffredo's list of achievements includes 20 women's championships, 2 Champions League titles, 4 Italian Super Cups, 5 Italian Cups, 5 men's championships, and 1 Paralympic Championship.
