Berlin Recycling Volleys complete the comeback and win their sixth national title in game 5

Berlin Recycling Volleys won their sixth consecutive league title. To be crowned German champions once again, they had to recover from a 0-2 deficit in the deciding series against their long-time rivals VfB Friedrichshafen - the first time this has happened in the entire history of the Bundesliga.

After fighting hard in Game 4, the last one at home, the challengers tried again in Berlin, winning the second set, hanging on until 23-23 in the third and escaping until 7-11 in the fourth: then the hosts closed with a 3-1 win (25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22).

Berlin and Friedrichshafen were the dominators of the German season: the Berlin team, in addition to the national title, also won the Supercup, while Mark Lebedew's team, Friedrichshafen, won the German Cup.
