In the last match of the qualifying round, Equatorial Guinea beat Sierra Leone 1 - 0 thanks to the goal of the number 22 Pablo Ganet and the penalty saved by goalkeeper Owono in the 82nd minute.
The victory allowed the small African team to finish second in the group, and thus access the next round. For the occasion, the team wore the captivating red home shirt made by Erreà.
