Volleyball World Championship 2018: Italy beat Slovenia to finish the first round with maximum points. Here is the schedule of second round games!

Florence. A sell-out crowd of 8,330 spectators watched Italy end the first round of the World Championship 2018 unbeaten, with a 3-1 victory over Slovenia at the Mandela Forum. This success means that Blengini’s team will have the advantage of going to Milan (Pool E) with maximum points (5 wins and 15 points). And it is at the Assago Forum (21-23 September) that Giannelli and his team mates will be playing these teams for a place in the final round: Netherlands, another Erreà team, and Russia and Finland.         Six teams will qualify for Turin: the winners from pools E, F, G, H, plus the best two runners up from the four groups. Italy will leave Florence for Milan where they will play their first match against Finland on Friday 21 September at the Assago Forum (9.15 pm). The teams that have gone through to the second phase are: Pool A (in Rome/Florence): Italy, Belgium, Slovenia and Argentina.   Pool B (in Ruse): Brazil, Netherlands, France and Canada.   Pool C (in Bari): United States, Serbia, Russia and Australia   POOL D (in Varna): Poland, Iran, Bulgaria and Finland.   The second round matches (21-23 September) are scheduled as follows:  Pool E (in Milan)  21 September: 5.00 pm Netherlands vs Russia; 9.15 pm - Italy vs Finland. 22 September: 5.00 pm - Netherlands vs Finland; 9.15 pm - Russia vs Italy. 23 September: 5.00 pm - Russia vs Finland; 9.15 pm - Netherlands vs Italy.   Pool F (in Bologna)  21 September: 5.00 pm - Brazil vs Australia;  20.30 Belgium vs Slovenia. 22 September: 5.00 pm - Australia vs Belgium; 20.30 Slovenia vs Brazil. 23 September: 5.00 pm - Slovenia vs Australia; 20.30 Belgium vs Brazil.   Pool H (in Varna) 21 September: 4.00 pm - Serbia vs France; 22 September; 7.40 pm - Poland vs France; 23 September 4.00 pm - France vs Argentina.
