A tribute to the Tricolore, the Italian flag, that tells of history, hope, soul, and passion. Erreà and FIPAV (Italian Volleyball Federation) unveil the new official jerseys of the National Team: a collection that, through the colours symbolising Italy, expresses the truest essence of our identity. Wearing these colours means embracing a legacy, a dream, and an ideal that unites us.
The jersey is born from the belief that it is not merely a piece of sportswear but a symbol and a tool for communication. It embodies the heartbeat of a nation that fights, suffers, celebrates, and never stops believing. It represents the unbreakable bond between those who wear it and those who support it — a message of belonging, an emotion to experience and share.
Inspired by the Tricolour, the ultimate symbol of our country, and the desire to transform it into a jersey, the new kits feature four colours, each associated with a key word: hope (green), soul (white), passion (red), as taken from Giosuè Carducci’s famous speech for the Centenary of the Tricolour, alongside history (blue), a traditional nod to the national team’s identity colour.
This new concept narrates the founding values of the Italian volleyball movement.
Green – Hope Green represents trust in the future and the determination to always strive for more. It symbolises hope in new achievements and the conviction that, with commitment and dedication, every goal is attainable. It is the jersey of those who never give up, of those who continue to dream and fight.
White – Soul White embodies the purity and true essence of sport: sacrifice, harmony, and unity. It is the colour of those who play with loyalty, who put their heart first, knowing that passion is the key to reaching every goal. Wearing it means carrying with you an authentic value: the deep essence of your identity, which is rooted in the hearts of those who love these colours.
Red – Passion Red is pure energy: the force that ignites the hearts of athletes in decisive moments. This jersey represents the courage of those who meet every challenge fearlessly, of those who know that talent is nothing without the heart. It is dedicated to those who turn passion into strength, emotion, and victory.
Blue – History Blue is the colour with which we have written the most beautiful pages of our journey, the common thread that links the present to the glorious past of Italian volleyball. Every point, every set, every victory is part of a history rich in successes and great champions. Wearing it means honouring tradition and feeling part of a unique heritage: that of those who gave everything for an ideal, who made glorious nights unforgettable, and those who continue to dream big.
The new shirts are not just sports kits but true symbols of a shared identity. Every athlete and every fan who wears these colours will be a spokesperson for a message that transcends the playing field: a sign of pride and belonging that unites the whole nation.
Like all Erreà garments, the jerseys are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified – guaranteeing the absence of substances that are harmful to health – and made with the new Sensibility fabric, introduced at the Paris Olympic Games. Thanks to the use of recycled fibres and an analysis in compliance with ISO 14067 standards, this fabric reduces CO₂ emissions by 32% compared to a standard jersey, confirming the company’s ongoing commitment to long-term sustainability.
