Medals galore for team Fisdir in Tampere!

At the IAADS and ITTADS European Championships held in Tampere, Finland (24-29 July), resounding success for the athletes of the FISDIR (Italian Federation of Sports for Intellectually and Relationally Disabled), of which Erreà Sport is the official technical partner.

Team FISDIR came home with an impressive 32 medals: 28 in athletics and 4 in table tennis, with 18 golds, 10 silvers and 8 bronzes - a total that confirms Italy’s place right at the top of Europe.

The girls took the lion’s share in the track and field events at these European, confirming beyond doubt the talent of Nicole Orlando, who came home with 4 golds (in the discus throw, javelin throw, triathlon and long jump) and an individual silver in the shot put. There are plenty of other Italian athletes to mention too, however, including Giulia Pertile, Chiara Zeni, Sara Spano, Silvia Preti, Stefano Lucato, Andrea Piacentini and Luca Mancioli. This abundance of medals confirms Italy's top-ranking position in international paralympic sport.

This success is thanks to the FISDIR and all those who worked towards achieving this outstanding result. Well done lads!
