The 2019-2020 CEV Champions League season has begun with a huge success for Savino Del Bene Scandicci.
The team, coached by Mencarelli, took their first steps in the European tournament, competing in Pool B by facing the really strong Turkish team, Vakifbank Istanbul, coached by Giovanni Guidetti and which included former Savino star, Isabelle Haak. The difficult away match ended in a historic win for the women’s team from Tuscany, who dominated the Turkish formation, above all in the last two sets, to win 3-2.
