Great feat by Guidetti’s Holland in Bangkok in the final for the bronze. Down 0-2, the team fought off 4 match points against Russia in the third set (23-24, 24-25, 25-26, 27-28) before prevailing in the tie-breaker.

The wall of the Orange was excellent (21 to 18 was the total count, with six apiece for De Kruijf on one side and Fetisova on the other), who as usual were able to count on Sloetjes (43% in attack against the 36% of Goncharova) and a good entry by Pietersen in place of the tired Plak.
