A great victory in Tirana for Italy’s U19 women's team that wins Gold at the European Championship.
A victory that came at the end of an exciting final against Russia, beaten 3-2 (24-26, 18-25, 26-24, 25-22, 15-9), after a long and hard fought contest. After an eight year wait, Italy’s U19 national team has finally returned to its winning ways in a European Championship that it last won in 2010. For this group of players, success in the European Championship represents another major result, having last year also won the Under 18s World Title.
