Tourcoing Lille Métropole triumphs in the French Cup: a thrilling Erreà derby!

Tourcoing Lille Métropole (TLM) has claimed its second Coupe de France title after an exhilarating final against Montpellier, the current leader of the Marmara SpikeLigue. In a true Erreà derby, with both teams wearing the prestigious Italian brand, TLM emerged victorious after a nail-biting battle that ended in a tie-break: 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-11).

 

 

 

 

The match was full of twists and turns. Tourcoing took the first set, but Montpellier quickly responded in the second, thanks to their solid defence. In the third set, despite leading by four points (16-12), Montpellier saw TLM fight back, levelling at 19-19 before taking the set. The fourth set went in Montpellier’s favour, forcing a decisive tie-break. In the final set, Tourcoing started strong and kept their focus until the last point, making history for the club.

 

 

With this victory, TLM secures its second French Cup, following their first triumph in 2018, in a final fully marked by the Erreà brand!
