Sunday 9 September sees the start of the 2018 Volleyball Men's World Championship!

The wait is finally over and with the 2018 Volleyball Men’s World Championship the sport will once again become the centre of attention in Italy from 9 to 30 September, with three weeks of genuine passion and entertainment. For the first time ever, in the history of world Volleyball, the FIVB 2018 Volleyball Men’s World Championship is being jointly hosted by two countries: Italy and Bulgaria. The various rounds of the World Championship will be played in a number of different cities, six of which in Italy (including Rome, Florence, and Bari in the first round, and Milan and Bologna in the second) and three in Bulgaria (Ruse, Sofia and Varna), with overall crowd capacities exceeding 85 thousand spectators. Turin, on the other hand, will have the honour of hosting the final rounds of this unmissable and exciting tournament from 26 to 30 September.   This is also a major event for Erreà Sport, that will have no fewer than 7 national teams competing at the Championship: ITALY, BELGIUM, FRANCE, NETHERLANDS, PUERTO RICO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND TUNISIA.   The opening game will take place in the spectacular and exciting surroundings of Rome's, totally sold out Foro Italico, where Italy will take on Japan at 7.30 pm in front of 11 thousand spectators who will be cheering on the first appearance of Ivan Zaytsev and his team mates. The pools are as follows: POOL A (in Rome and Florence): Italy, Argentina, Belgium, Slovenia, Japan and Dominican Republic POOL B (in Ruse): Brazil, France, Canada, Netherlands, China and Egypt POOL C (in Bari): USA, Russia, Serbia, Australia, Cameroon and Tunisia POOL D (in Varna): Bulgaria, Poland, Iran, Finland, Cuba and Puerto Rico   Erreà will be present at every Italian venue, in what will be a sort of retail village with two exhibition spaces managing the sale of all FIPAV and FIVB official merchandising.   Following the opening game in Rome, the tournament's rounds, venues and match dates in Italy will be as follows:   - First round being played simultaneously Florence (Nelson Mandela Forum) and Bari (PALAFLORIO) from 12 to 18 September       - Second round being played simultaneously Milan (Assago Forum) and Bologna (PalaDozza) from 21 to 23 September    - Third round in Turin (Pala Alpitour) from 25 to 30 September   All that now remains is to await the start of this eagerly anticipated tournament and wish our national teams the very best of luck!!!
