Men's Under 21 World Championship: Friday 23 June sees the curtain go up in the Czech Republic

Italy's Under 21 men's team will be competing in the World Volleyball Championships taking place from 23 June to 2 July in the Czech Republic. In the first phase Italy will take on Argentina, Iran and Ukraine, three far from easy opponents that will demand extra special attention. “Ours is a really difficult pool” said coach Michele Totire. “We’re going to have to play against the South American champions as well as the Asian and European runners up, so we’ll have to produce volleyball of the highest. However, we’re sure that we have really prepared well”. The Pools:Pool A (Brno): Poland, Czech Republic, Canada, MoroccoPool B (Brno): Russia, Turkey, USA, CubaPool C (Ceske Budejovice): Argentina, Italy, Ukraine, IranPool C (Ceske Budejovice): China, Brazil, Egypt, Japan.
