Glasgow hosts the presentation of the Guinness Pro 14: Zebre unveil their new first team kit

As is customary, the presentation of the 2018-2019 edition of the Guinness Pro 14 provided the opportunity for Zebre Rugby Club to unveil their new first team shirt from Erreà, for the forthcoming season.   The entirely digitally transfer printed multicolour zebra pattern, that was so positively received a year ago by fans and rugby sector operators, remains. The first shirt is an evolution, with a further modern touch, of the zebra patterned rainbow top that represents all the colours of Italian clubs - something totally innovative for the club's image. The simple model, with a round-neck collar, is embellished with really detailed and innovative touches, like the rubberised serigraph located in the areas where the oval ball is most likely to be caught. The inside of the collar is white, and on it the green, white and red colours of the Italian flag can be seen, to underscore the Italianness of the franchise which is based in Parma. Technology has played a major part in the creation of the new top, which allows for the presence of a GPS tracking device, below the collar, that will be held in place by a special thickened fabric, and that will monitor the players’ performances throughout the match. Above, the words “GRAZIE LUCA” (Thank you Luca), written in capitals, are in memory of Luca Sisti. The “Ruck” fabric used for making the shirt is designed specifically for rugby and is a 100% Italian yarn: its extraordinary resistance and hold simultaneously ensure exceptional elasticity and wearability.
