Monaco Basket makes history: first French Cup conquered in the final against ASVEL

The Monaco Basket made history by winning its first French Cup. In the final played on Saturday afternoon at the Accor Arena in Paris-Bercy, the Roca Team overwhelmed ASVEL with a score of 90-70, dominating the game from start to finish.

 

The victory was marked by exceptional performances from Mike James and Elie Okobo, who scored 20 points and 6 assists each, respectively. The Monegasque team finished the first half with a 17-point lead, with a score of 49-32, and continued to dominate in the third quarter, reaching a maximum advantage of 25 points.

 

Despite a comeback attempt by ASVEL in the fourth period, Monaco Basket maintained control of the game and secured the victory. Former player Elie Okobo was awarded the MVP of the final for his superb performance, with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. With this win, Monaco Basket enters the history of French basketball, securing its first Cup trophy.
