Volley Lugano’s European adventure couldn’t have got off to a better start when, in the magnificent surroundings of the Palamondo arena, that was jam packed with fans and passion, the women of coach Buonavita’s team beat Finland’s Vampula Huittinen 3-0.
In their first ever appearance in Europe, the young women of Lugano Volley distinguished themselves with an outstanding performance that ended with the Erreà-sponsored club clinching a clear-cut and well-deserved victory.
The return leg will be in Finland on 20 November when Volley Lugano will face the away match with concentration, determination and humility, hoping to qualify for the next round.
