The 19-year-old son of the great Michael Schumacher, Mick, racing for the Prema team, was crowned the new Formula 3 European Champion at Hockenheim.
Following his 12th place in race 1, he finished 2nd in race 2, widening the gap between him and Dani Ticktum still further and winning the title. At the age of 19 Mick has now qualified for his FIA Super License, a prerequisite for switching to Formula 1, although it does seem more than likely that he will move to Formula 2 in 2019 or to the new F3 that will be merging with the GP3.
This is a hugely satisfying outcome for Erreà Sport, official technical partner of the Prema team!
