Europe gears up for Women's Volleyball Championships: schedule, teams, and tournament phases

Get ready for a summer of excitement and competition in women's volleyball, as the 2023 European Championship promises intense clashes and thrilling matches.

 

Italy will host Pool B, while Belgium will welcome Pool A, both set to determine the contenders for the final stages.

 

The Italian National Team will take the spotlight in a series of exhilarating matches. On August 15th, Verona will kick off the tournament as Italy faces Romania. Monza and Turin will be the stages for matches against Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Switzerland. As the reigning European champions, Italy aims to showcase their supremacy. The excitement will peak as the round of 16 and quarter-finals unfold in Florence, leading the way to the semi-finals and the grand finale, set to take place in Belgrade, Serbia.

 

Belgium won't fall short of competition, with Pool A featuring Belgium, Serbia, Poland, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Hungary. Meanwhile, Group C will take center stage in Germany, featuring Germany, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Czech Republic, and Greece. Estonia will host Group D, where Estonia, Netherlands, France, Spain, Slovakia, and Finland will compete.
