Montpellier won the first Super Cup in its history on Saturday. The 2021-2022 French champions beat Chaumont in four sets (25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 30-28) after a breathtaking final set.
The Occitan team needed five match points to defeat two-time title holder Chaumont.
The Ligue A championship resumes next Friday: in the opening match, champion Montpellier will host promoted team Saint-Nazaire.
