Bruno Morganti's team are European Champions!!!
Italy has won the first ever edition of the European Under 17 Championship, beating the other Erreà team, Belgium, by 3-2 (25-17 21-25 23-25 26-24 15-10). A passionate, hard fought final, won in the fifth set of what was an all-Erreà derby. Nonetheless, for a team that had played a great European tournament it proved a well-deserved victory.
A success that brings pride to the Italian volleyball movement, which this season has already seen a silver medal win by the Under 19s team that, in a few weeks' time, will be competing in the U19 World Championship.
The young Italian national team wins the European Championship in Konya in Turkey. Well done, everyone!
