Reyer Women's triumph, the title goes to Venice

An unforgettable weekend for the Venetian club, which celebrates two important triumphs and consolidates its elite position in Italian basketball.

An epic victory for the first team

Reyer Venezia’s women’s team won the Italian championship, securing the title after a spectacular Game 3 against Famila Wuber Schio. The match, held at PalaRomare, was full of emotions, with the home team dominating the first 20 minutes. Schio's team started the game with great determination, approaching the third game of the series in the best possible way.

The orogranata, led by coach Andrea Mazzon, did not give up. At the end of the second quarter, thanks to a decisive three-pointer by Martina Fassina, they equalized the game, ending the first half in a draw. In the third quarter, Venice raised a defensive wall, limiting the opponents' actions despite Sottana's extraordinary performance.

The fourth period was an authentic point-to-point battle, with the score tied at 70-70 at the 38th minute. The game was decided by plays from Awak Kuier, who scored a crucial 2+1, along with free throws by Villa and Berkani. The match ended at 74-80, delivering the title to Reyer Venezia.

Success for the Under 15 team

The joy for Reyer Venezia does not stop here. The Under 15 women’s team won the twenty-third youth championship of the Umana Reyer era, beating Bianchi Group Costa Masnaga with a decisive 75-46 in the Championship Final in San Vincenzo (LI).

The young orogranata dominated from the start, imposing their physicality and speed, closing the first quarter at 17-7. Despite attempts to come back by the Lombard team in the second quarter, aggressive defense and brilliant performances by Hassan, Sablich, and Zuccon allowed coach Giovanatto’s team to maintain control, ending the first half at 41-27.

In the third quarter, the biancorosse tried to increase the pressure, but Reyer remained calm and extended their lead to 57-40. In the last ten minutes, the young lions continued to push on the fast break, leaving Costa Masnaga without answers. The game ended in a 75-46 triumph, celebrating another memorable victory for Reyer Venezia.
