Football, art and style: the third shirt for Ado den Haag, in honour of MC Escher

To mark the 125th birthday of graphic artist MC Escher, ADO Den Haag presents the third shirt for the 2023/2024 season, designed by Erreà.

Featuring two colours and striking graphics, the shirt boasts a bold geometric cube pattern in white and black, clearly inspired by the graphic techniques and illusions for which Escher was also known.

The absolute novelty of the jersey lies in the integration of NFC (Near Field Communication) chips into sports club jerseys, opening up new opportunities to offer fans dynamic and interactive digital experiences. The inclusion of this technological component allows connecting the physical product, a tangible object, to any digital content, be it an exclusive video, a promotion, a prize game, a survey, and so on. The NFC chip becomes a gateway through which fans can interact with their beloved team, bringing them even closer to the values, stories, and activities they cherish. For the sports club, the jersey transforms into a true media, programmable in time and space, enriching the communication strategy not only for fans but also for sponsors and partners.

The excellent attention to detail that adds to the captivating style is also evident in the ribbed collar and cuffs.

The result is a unique and unexpected design that draws together football, art, and pride for the city of the Hague.

Numbered 1 to 750, the shirts are precious limited edition items, sublimation printed and made from Ti-energy 3.0, the new antiviral and antibacterial fabric developed by the Erreà Research and Development division.
