A historic moment for Treviso and for all Italian rugby.
Benetton Rugby have won the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup, to become the first Italian team to win such a prestigious international club competition. The final saw the best northern and southern hemisphere teams competing in the Monigo Stadium, with the Lions scoring a 35-8 victory over the Vodacom Bulls from Pretoria.
And so Crowley’s men, by finishing first, with 22 points, in the single round of 12 teams, dominated their South African opponents to become deserved winners of the historic trophy.
Benetton Rugby have therefore written a veritable piece of history that has given their supporters cause to erupt in joy.
