Italy wrote a glorious page in the history of Italian sitting volleyball, triumphing in the final of the Women’s European Championships against Slovenia with a score of 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-16, 25-22), becoming European champions for the very first time and earning a place at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The national team, coached by Amauri Ribeiro, concluded the tournament without suffering a single defeat, demonstrating an exceptional performance and completing the Italian Volleyball Federation’s showcase of continental titles.
This is the third consecutive medal for Italy in the European Championships of this category, following the two silver medals won in 2019 in Budapest, Hungary, and in 2021 in Kemer, Turkey.
