A success story: Atletica Casone wins its tenth consecutive title

Atletica Casone has reached the peak of success in Italian athletics by taking home an unprecedented, historic tenth consecutive Italian title since 2013. The competition took place in Telese Terme, in the Sannio area, and the team proved impressively solid and compact, with five athletes among the top 19.

The key moment was the extraordinary victory of Egide Ntakarutimana in the half marathon, which he won by clocking up an impressive time of 1:02:32. Although the Italian title went to Nekagenet Crippa, Atletica Casone flexed its muscles by placing all its athletes high up in the rankings.

Andrea Sanguinetti obtained an outstanding overall 11th position, gaining fifth place in the Italian championships and setting a new personal record. Nije Nfamara obtained a well-deserved 13th place, demonstrating consistency over all distances. Ademe Cuneo honoured the team vest with an 18th place, while Francesco Agostini finished 19th.

Unfortunately, Luca Alfieri was forced to stop just metres from the finishing line due to a physical problem. Jaafari Badr pulled out soon after the start of the race, and the young Geremia Taino had to abandon the competition.

Despite these withdrawals, Atletica Casone’s determination enabled the team to take home the title. The compact 2023 team was formed by determined athletes, and the concluding celebrations on the podium were a joyful, shared occasion.
