At Bramall Lane, Spurs were not brilliant in the early stages of the match, with the hosts frightening their opponents. In the second half, the match was rather balanced, with the guests, however, unable to break through. It was Sheffield United who broke the deadlock, with Ndiaye's right-footed strike in the 79th minute making it 1-0.
Sheffield United will take on Blackburn in the quarter-finals, meaning a Championship team will go straight to Wembley for the semi-finals.
