At the Sitting Volleyball World Championship in Rotterdam, a phenomenal Italian team beat the Netherlands, the host team, by 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-11) in an all-Erreà derby, to reach the semifinals! A historic result by Amauri Ribeiro’s girls, who have been an absolute revelation in this World Championship.  Playing in their first ever World Championship, the Italian women completed a truly exceptional milestone and, in a matter of only a few years, in fact, they have gone from their first international friendly to playing for a medal in a World Championship. This extraordinary roller coaster ride by Ribeiro's girls is a well-earned reward for the FIPAV's investments in Sitting Volleyball in recent years. Tomorrow Italy will play the United States for a place in the final and the gold medal. The other two semifinalists are China and Russia. Good luck girls!!!
