Images, iconic symbols and original and refined design combine in a colourful and unique arrangement, to make the Ghanaian club – sponsored by Erreà Sport – stand out on the 85th anniversary of its foundation.
Rich in original details, the new official kits for the 2020-2021 season showcase the history and defining features of one of Africa’s most successful football clubs.
The central section of the home shirt, which is red with a V neck, is dedicated to a tone-on-tone transfer featuring a selection of photos of key moments that encapsulate and celebrate the history and victories of the Club, from its foundation to today. The sleeves are finished with a fine three-part trim in the colours of the Ashanti Kingdom Colours. The back is very distinctive, featuring the logo designed specifically for the 85th anniversary underneath the collar, while a series of iconic symbols presented in the lower section frame the shirt.
The design of the away shirt, featuring a white background, draws on the image of the porcupine – the emblem used in the club’s logo – whose stylised red quills define the overall pattern of the shirt. The motif highlights the strength and unshakeable, fearless spirit of Asante Kotoko. Like the home shirt, the back of the away version also includes the anniversary logo in gold and a series of iconic symbols in red.
The snug fit is perfectly complemented by the soft and breathable technical fabric used for the shirt, which stands out thanks to the double-knit construction and the presence of micro-holes that facilitate rapid heat dissipation and ensure optimal body temperature regulation.
