The athletes of Casone Noceto were simply outstanding, coming second in the ECCC Cross Country in the race reserved for National Club Champions, in Albufeira, Portugal. The Senior Men’s race proved to be a gripping contest, with, as expected, Jacob Kiplimo and the Kenyan, Davis Kiplangat, who defended the team colours of Sporting Clube de Portugal, dictating the pace from the very start. Along the circuit's 9.73 kilometres, the two took turns at the front, until Jacob decisively upped his pace to break free of his adversary, who attempted a comeback in the final meters, beating him across the line just one second ahead. A hugely satisfying result for the Erreà-sponsored team that continues to grow and add prestigious achievements to its list of successes and that in recent days revealed their new official competitive strips for 2019 all-comers category.
