The picturesque setting of Disneyland Paris was the setting for the final of the Leaders Cup, the French Cup that saw AS Monaco Basket, that are also at the top of the table, take on ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne. The game, filled with continuous twists and turns, was evenly matched for the entire 40 minutes, until, that is, the deadlock was broken by the plays of Gladyr who scored 22 points and was also nominated MVP of the event.   The teams battled hard, right through to the interval, with great energy being expended at both ends of the court, but all to no avail as neither of them succeeded in gaining a winning edge. The half-time score stood at 48-46 to ASVEL. It was a hugely exciting match that was only resolved in the final quarter. The Monegasque players relied on spirited team play and finally came out winners in the final segment, thanks above all to Gladyr, who managed to score no fewer than 17 points in one quarter. After having made an impact, at a score of 76, thanks to his hoops, the Ukrainian allowed his team mates to manage the final part as best they could, with Monaco taking the lead on 87-79 as the match drew to a close. The final score was 95-91 to Monaco. It was a great victory for Mitrovic’s team and for its official technical sponsor, Erreà. Very well done from all of us!!!!
