Erreà national teams' journey to the 2022 Women's Volleyball World Cup continues

 

The path of the Erreà Nationals continues: three of them have managed to advance to the second phase of the tournament, including Italy, Belgium and Puerto Rico.


After Cameroon, Puerto Rico, Belgium and Kenya, Italy also beat the host Netherlands in Arnhem 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-16, 25-21) and goes into the second phase of the Women's Volleyball World Cup with full points. Next week the Italian women will play against Brazil, Japan, Argentina and China, in a group that also includes the Netherlands, Belgium and Puerto Rico, who have already played in the first phase. 


Once the first phase is over, the formula of the Volleyball World Cup provides for a second phase with two groups: 16 teams will advance to the second phase divided into two groups, Pool E and Pool F.


The Italian women's team will be in Pool E and will play in Rotterdam: eight teams, the first four of the two groups, will advance to the next phase, the knockout phase. Pool E together with Brazil, the Netherlands, Argentina, Japan, China, Belgium and Puerto Rico.


Italy's first match for the second phase is scheduled for tomorrow 4 October against Brazil at 17:15.
