Erreà Sport and the FFVB reveal the new official kits for the 2018 World Volleyball Championship
The official kits that Erreà Sport has produced for the French Men and Women's Volleyball Federation for the forthcoming 2018 World Volleyball Championship were presented.
Following their well-deserved silver medal win at the first edition of the Volley Nations League 2018 in Lille, and after their title wins in 2014 and 2016, Tillie's men will be sporting the new outfits that Erreà has created for them to wear throughout this new and really significant adventure. In its traditional classic colour, the first kit has a blue background and revisits the pattern with tone on tone transfer printed horizontal stripes. Unlike in the past, the stripes are not sharp and distinct but are light blue in the upper part and gradually change to a dark blue in the lower. The stitching of this basic and elegant shirt is in gold, as are the inserts in the collar and down the sides and the sleeve ends, on which the three colours of the French flag appear.
Modern and looking to the future, the new kits, feature innovative, cutting-edge characteristics, when it comes to fabrics. Extreme lightness, extraordinary breathability and maximum elasticity are the special features of "Diamante", the new hi-tech Italian yarn used to make the men's kit. Incomparable in feel on the skin, this new yarn offers a weight reduction of 40% compared to a normal volleyball fabric. The excellent elasticity of the yarn is achieved mechanically through a special process which eliminates the common use of elastomer, thus helping to reduce the weight of the shirt and the sensation of heat during sporting activity.
The second shirt features the same model, graphics and fabric, but is produced in white, with tone on tone horizontal stripes which go from white to grey. Still in keeping with the usual custom, the third shirt comes in red. All three shirts are comfortable, very soft and feature semi-fitted wearability.
There is something new for the women’s shirt that comes in the same design and colours as that of the men’s, replacing the half sleeve with finer sleeves to provide an elegant and stylishly refined look, resulting from the flared and fitted lines that blend perfectly with the use of “Ariha” fabric, a latest generation Italian yarn characterized by its special fineness and breathability. Characterized by tiny micro holes which let air in and heat out, close-fitting but light, Ariha is ideal for ensuring maximum comfort during competition while at the same time offering an impeccable fit that shows off the feminine figure.
The official men’s and women's kits to be worn by referees were also presented. These come in an elegant and refined blue polo shirts with white edges on the collar and sleeve ends. The FFVB logo has been transfer printed, with the symbol of the cockerel, embellished with two vertical white and red stripes. In addition to the same logo, the back of the shirt also has the French flag on the collar. The fabric used on this occasion is “Mundial”, perfect for the world of volleyball, characterised by its distinctive elasticity, softness and second skin effect. A further feature of the shirts for the French national teams and the referees’ blue polo shirts is the extreme attention paid to quality and health. In fact, the new shirts, like all Erreà garments have obtained the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, the guarantee of absolute non-toxicity and safety for the end user in accordance with the main European and international standards.
A concentrate of design innovation, quality and inventiveness created by Erreà to dress the dreams of ‘Les Bleus’.
