Women’s World Championship 2018: there's no stopping Italy and The Netherlands!

Volleyball08/10/2018

In the 2018 Women's World Championship, the winning streak of Italian and Dutch national teams has reached seven wins in a row!

After beating Azerbaijan, the Italian team led by coach, Davide Mazzanti, went on to beat Thailand 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-15). Against a very insidious opponent, which in the first round managed to take points away from both Russia and the United States, the Italian team played an impeccable match without ever letting the Asian team pose a threat.  The Italian team holds on to its first place in the Pool F table with 7 wins (21 points) and on October 10th there will be the big match against Russia when Cristina Chirichella and her team-mates will have the chance to qualify for the Top Six: they are just one win away from securing themselves a place in the third round in Nagoya.

The Dutch team also has a full score after beating Puerto Rico, another Erreà team, and the Dominican Republic. The super matches The Netherlands-Brazil and Germany-Puerto Rico are also scheduled for 10 October!

The very best of luck to our girls!!!
