The President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, receives the National women’s volleyball team at the Quirinale Palace


On 29 October the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella received Italy’s national women's volleyball team, in the Hall of Mirrors at the Quirinale Palace in Rome, fresh from their silver medal win at the World Championship.  

An unforgettable day for Davide Mazzanti’s players who, after having enchanted all of Italy, received the invitation from Italy’s head of state. The event also provided an unforgettable memory for Erreà Sport, the Italian national team's official technical sponsor.

During the morning those in attendance heard from CONI President, Giovanni Malagò, Federation President, Pietro Bruno Cattaneo, national team coach, Davide Mazzanti, Italy’s team captain, Cristina Chirichella and, of course, the President of the Italian Republic himself, who underlined the qualities that had made Italian volleyball an example to their country. Italy’s coach, together with the team captain, then presented President Mattarella with an Erreà shirt signed by all the players.
