Zebre Rugby Club's new away official kit presented at the Lanfranchi Stadium

The unveiling of Zebre Rugby Club’s official second kit by Erreà Sport took place during the Festival of Sport organised at Parma’s Rugby Citadel on Tuesday 12 September on the occasion of the presentation and photos of the new squad for the 2018-2019 season.

Just as for the first shirt, the same zebra pattern appears on the front and back of the second. In the case of the second shirt the multicolour pattern is replaced with black and white, as always totally digitally transfer printed.

In the same way as the first shirt, great care and attention has gone into all the details such as the black inserts down the sides and on the inside and back of the collar, where the three colours of the Italian flag celebrate the Italian franchise which is based in Parma. What is different from the first kit, however, is the distinctiveness of the black and white striped socks that were introduced last season. This part of the kit marks the continuation of the strong bond between the federal franchise and the history of the club that was founded in 1973 and took to the pitch 25 times until 1996 with the classic black and white striped shirt.

The away shirt too is characterised by the distinctive rubberised serigraph applied across the chest in those points most likely to help with the catching of the ball. Technology has also played a major part in the creation of this top, which allows for the presence of a GPS tracking device, below the collar, that will be held in place by a special thickened fabric, and will monitor the players’ performances throughout the match. The “Ruck” fabric used to make the new shirt is characterised by its excellent resistance and hold, and simultaneously ensures exceptional elasticity and wearability.

The new away shirt will make its first appearance in the away match at Newport in Wales against the Dragons on Saturday 22 September at 6.15 pm Italian time.
