Erreà Sport is once again the technical partner for the 24th World Stars Football Match MC 2016


The 24th edition of the World Stars Football Match charity tournament , took place yesterday evening at the Louis II Stadium in Monte Carlo. It was a traditional footballing event  between A.S. Star Team MC, captained by HRH Prince Albert, with Erreà as official technical sponsor and the Formula One Drivers team, made up of F1 aces.

A charity sporting event, under the patronage of Prince Albert, that this year coincided once again with the staging of the Monaco Grand Prix.

Special guest, and coach of Star Team MC, was Claudio Ranieri , fresh from his success in England where he coached Leicester City Football Club to the top of Premier League for the first time in their 132-year history. Other players were no less deserving, beginning with the captain, skier Peter Fill, who this year won the first ever men's World cup downhill for Italy, after coming first in the prestigious Hahnenkamm Kitzbuhel race, and as a result joining the hall of fame as one of the world's best skiers. Other members of the same team were Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi, Riccardo Patrese and former footballers such as Marco Simone, Flavio Roma, Jan Koller, Frederik Déhu or Sébastien Frey.

As for the racing drivers' team, they were captained by Fernando Alonso and included Max Verstappen, the revelation of the Spanish GP, who had just won the race in Spain driving a Red Bull. The team also included Carlos Sainz, the legendary World Rally Championship legend and also member of the "Star Team MC" Foundation. Also playing were Felipe Massa, Sergio Perez, Pastor Maldonado, Giancarlo Fisichella and Kristian Ghedina , to mention just a few.

This year the funds raised during the evening went to AMADE (World Association of Children's Charities) Monaco, that this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.
